About me
Liz Thompson
Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator
I love children and my life has been dedicated to serving them as an educator and guide. I also recognize that parenthood is a profound calling that parents and guardians need support for. As a parent, I know the challenges of navigating the complex behaviors of my own children and have found peace in my parenting through Positive Discipline. As a parent educator, I want to share this knowledge with as many parents as possible. I am confident it will become an incredible resource in their parenting journey.
To provide more on my background: I have an AAS degree in early childhood education and a teaching credential from the American Montessori Society. I taught for several years in Montessori classrooms, and that is where I was first introduced to Positive Discipline. As an educator, I successfully implemented Positive Discipline tools to work through the complex dynamics and behaviors in my classroom. This inspired me to train and become a parent educator. I’ve since left teaching and am focusing on my family, business, and education. I’m finishing my BS in psychology and plan to swiftly move into a master’s program in marriage and family therapy. My goal is to become a LMFT and leverage my knowledge and experience in teaching Positive Discipline to parents in my practice.
